UKRAINE: U$EUI$rael Greatest Mistake In Earth

Moscow Inverses Roles in Kiev

While NATO leaders are jubilant over the Kiev coup, which they present to public opinion as a revolution, the situation is reversed in the field. Instead of a government of thugs raising the stakes between Washington and Moscow, it is now up to U.S. agents to exercise power and manage the problems they have organized. Moreover the country is ruined and nobody whomsoever will succeed in bringing about a quick recovery. Russia can now defend its interests without incurring the liabilities from twenty years of earlier corruption.

Russia did not respond to the Ukrainian events during the Olympic Games in Sochi. [1] Its press continued to make headlines of the exploits of its athletes while there was fighting in Kiev and in several provincial capitals. The Kremlin considered in effect that at any time, the enemies of Russia could still turn its sports festival into a bloodbath.

As expected, power had changed hands in Kiev at the closing of the Games. Westerners, largely misinformed, had the impression of a pro-European revolution. However, disclosure of a telephone conversation between the assistant U.S. Secretary of State, Victoria Nuland, and her ambassador, Geoffrey R. Pyatt, left no doubt about the US plot. [2] Using false images, a government of thugs and crooks [3] was transformed into a band of Russophile torturers. [4] As in all the "color revolutions", mysterious snipers on the rooftops fired upon both the crowd and the police, and the government was held responsible. In the confusion, the West had the impression that "the people" had seized the national palace. In reality, while mostly Nazi activists fought in Maidan Place live on international television, politicians discreetly seized the national palace in another part of the city. From this point of view, Europeans can rest assured that it is not the Nazis who took power.

Ukrainian Nazis have nothing to do with the Western European extreme right-wing, usually openly Zionist (except the French National Front). During the Cold War, they were incorporated into the NATO stay-behind networks operationalized to sabotage the Soviet economy and were maintained by Poland [5] and Lithuania. During the three months of demonstrations, they were joined by Tatar Islamists who came especially from Syria where they practiced jihad. [6] Tatars, historical inhabitants of the Crimea, who were dispersed by Stalin for having supported the Nazis during World War II, are now spread mainly in Ukraine and Turkey. In Maidan Square, they were able to show their know-how acquired in Syria : they blinded and mutilated police. [7]

The revolution in Maidan Square masks an extremely classic coup. [8] In the presence of US "diplomats", the Rada has violated the constitution which it repealed without a referendum. It dismissed the President without debate or trial and bestowed legislative and executive powers upon Oleksandr Turchinov, the former head of the secret services.

The new dictator appointed Arseniy Yatsenyuk as Prime Minister, which corresponds, miraculously, to the wishes expressed in advance by Victoria Nuland. The new Prime Minister appointed a new cabinet which he presented to the protesters in Maidan Square. These protesters, and many more of which the Nazis now represent no more than a third, booed many of them, because they were Jews.

In the Crimea, where the majority of the population is Russian and where the Russian Navy is based, the Regional Parliament also took on a "revolutionary fervor", overthrowing the local government (loyal to Kiev) and appointed its own (pro-Russian). Simultaneously, military personnel in uniform, but without a flag or insignia, took over the government buildings and the airport, preventing the new government in Kiev from sending its forces.

In Kiev, the Rada denounced Russian interference and called for respect for the Budapest Memorandum. In 1994, the United States, the United Kingdom and Russia signed an agreement on freezing Ukraine in exchange for its giving up nuclear weapons. [9] But for Moscow, the Memorandum no longer applies because it has been violated by Washington and London since the "Orange Revolution" of 2004 [10] and even more since the coup last week.

What’s going to happen now? On May 25th, Brussels will organize elections to the European Parliament, Kiev will organize a presidential election, while the Crimea will hold a referendum on self-determination. Once independent, Crimea can always choose to link to Russia to which it belonged until 1954. The European Union, in turn, must fulfill the hopes it aroused and therefore pay, with who knows what money, part of the $ 35 billion Ukrainian debt. The Nazis of Maidan Square will not return to the underground, but claim their share of government.

But the story will not be over as long as there remain problems for the Kremlin in the eastern part of Ukraine (which houses a Russian population and defense industry) and Transnistria (the former Bessarabia, which was once the research center for Soviet missiles). This small country, of Russian population, which does not appear on any map because it does not hold a seat at the UN, took its independence upon the dissolution of the Soviet Union, but is considered part of Moldova. It resisted valiantly in a war that it fought with Moldova, Romanian aviation advisors and NATO in 1992. [11] It has since managed to keep the Soviet social model while adopting democratic institutions. Safety is ensured by a Russian "peacekeeping force". [12] At minimum, twenty square kilometers of Ukraine could rise and join Transnistria to offer it an exit to the Black Sea, but the Ukraine would then be cut off from its western appendix. At best, connecting Crimea to Transnistria would suppose taking hundreds of kilometers of coastline including the city of Odessa.
Disorders will therefore continue in Ukraine, but it will be for the hosers hosed - the United States and the European Union - to bear the weight. Besides the financial burden, how will they manage their victorious Nazi and jihadists allies? Washington’s show of force is turning into a fiasco. [13]

Costs President Obama is about to pay in Ukraine

Pro-Russian 20000-strong rally in Donetsk, Eastern Ukraine, March 1, 2014
Yesterday the United States lost the propaganda war on Ukraine. President Obama made a reluctant and senseless statement which Washington Post entitled “There will be costs”.

He pronounced standard phrases like “the Ukrainian people deserve the opportunity to determine their own future”, proposed Russia to be a “part of an international community’s effort to support the stability and success of a united Ukraine”, lamented over the alleged “violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity” and assured that “the United States supports his government’s efforts and stands for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and democratic future of Ukraine”.

Looks like the United States administration was not mentally prepared for the development of the Ukrainian crisis. The synchronized actions of the new Crimean authorities and the press-conference of the expelled president Victor Yanukovych in Rostov-on-Don gave undeniable judicial advantage to the opposite side in Ukraine who are not ready to acknowledge the illegitimate “government” elected by the rowdy Euro-mob in Kiev three days ago. The United States have no tangible tools to destabilize Crimea, de facto controlled by the Ukrainian anti-putschist resistance forces, while the judicial status of Victor Yanukovych (whatever we think about him as a person and political figure) is indubitable ... USA COPS' WAR ON US CITIZENS 'PROOF' DEADLIER THAN IRAQ WAR | UKRAINE: Nazi-like victory of US/NATO lawlessness – Rick Rozoff

The US/NATO takeover of Ukraine, thought out and planned by the Neo-Conservative geopolitical architects and Zbignew Brezhinsky acolytes in the United States who have been driving the US policy of aggressive war and the destruction of countries since the events of 9-11, is not exactly going according to their plan for attaining complete global domination, uni-polarity and American hegemony.

Ukraine: a Nazi-like victory of US/NATO lawlessness – Rick Rozoff

Their ignorance of the peoples of the countries they are invading and attempting to subvert, their use of everything from Islamic extremists to militarized neo-nazis groups and their threats of sanctions and "prices to pay" are guaranteeing their own failure, and it is about time.

Voice of Russia regular Rick Rozoff spoke to us about the revocation of a 2012 Ukrainian Federal Law that permitted language rights to linguistic groups which means in areas where Russian is spoken by a majority of people it cannot be used. Mr. Rozoff says that the cultural pogrom we have seen in Ukraine is on a level that is almost unimaginable and compares it to the ascension to power of Hitler's National Socialists in Germany after 1933. Rozoff call the events in Ukraine: "...the worst thing that has occurred in our lifetime for what it signals: the utter triumph of lawlessness internationally, the utter triumph of international gangsterism and I mean the big gangsters in the West who are behind this ultimately and their gutter-snipes and their punks on the streets who are delivering the goods for them." As for financial aid Rozoff says the usurpers in Kiev are simply asking for their pay-off money.
rozoff
This is John Robles. You are listening to an interview with Rick Rozoff – the owner and manager of the stop NATO website and international mailing list.

Robles: Hello Rick, how are you?

Rozoff: Good John, despite the circumstances.

Robles: Yeah, I have no words right now myself. But I would like to hear your take on what is going on right now in Ukraine, and especially with the outlawing of the Russian language?

Rozoff: Ukraine is divided right now. It is not only divided between people who are Russian speaking primarily, or Russian and Ukrainian bilingual, and those fanatics and extremists in Western Ukraine who insist on speaking Ukraine only, Ukrainian rather only. I mean there is linguistic and general cultural geographical divide that exists in the country, but really what we are talking about is ideological and I would argue ultimately moral ofdivisions within the country.

What occurred on Saturday, let’s call it by its proper name, it was the most overt coup that has occurred in Europe since before World War II, there’s no question about that. The only comparison, and we’ve discussed it before, would be something on the order of Benito Mussolini’s march on Rome in 1922.

If the previous colour revolutions, including the so-called "Orange Revolution" in Ukraine in 2004 and 2005 was essentially an illegal seizure of power, and it’s my contention it was, it was at least done under the auspices or under the pretence of it being a parliamentary electoral transition, that is a special election was held and there was a change of regime based on the result of the election, whether or not that was a legitimate election or not.

What happened this past Saturday however is of a totally calibre. What we have seen is a group of violent mob activists, essentially chasing the government out of power, in collusion with certain forces within the Parliament, within the RADA. But for the most part the mob – mob rule – has taken over in Ukraine, and what we are going to see, that given the flavor or the nature of the real core of the opposition on the streets in Kiev, in Lviv and elsewhere in the country, which is: extreme nationalist, fanatically and intolerantly nationalist to the point of fascist, is what we can expect to see is a series of punitive measures, vendettas, pogroms, and these will be directed against first of all political adversaries, there is a statement I believe on Interfax today where a leader of the Party of Regions, formally the governing party only a few days ago after all, only four days ago, stated that we are now operating at gun-point. And he’s a Deputy in the Parliament, in the VerkhovnaRada, and it's something we've all suspected.

That not only have members of the now opposition parties, formally governing parties, operating under duress but that announcements there have been threats to their lives and the lives of their families and that is what I suspect is occurring, and that’s why you see some of the defections if not most that we’ve seen.

We also have to realize that there is a movement afoot, as you indicate, to revoke a 2012 Federal law that permitted language rights to linguistic group that represented ten or more percent of the population and that any given political entity and province, that has now been revoked. That means in areas where Russian is spoken by a majority of people technically, it cannot be used as a state language, one of two state languages.

Similarly with other ethnic minorities, Hungarian and others in the west of the countryor Romanian perhaps. We have already heard about an attack on the synagogue in Kiev. We heard anti-Semitic language, clearly anti-Russian. We’ve seen that monument erected to the victory of the Soviet Union in World War II over Nazi Germany desecrated. We’ve seen a statue to General Kutuzov, who led the Russian Army in the war against Napoleon in 1812, destroyed.

We have seen a cultural pogrom on a level that is almost unimaginable - the only comparison I could possibly think of is shortly after the ascension to power of Hitler’s National Socialists in Germany after 1933, you know the book burnings and the other cultural assaults against ethnic and other minorities in the country, this is what we are seeing right now.

Look, I have right in front of me right now, a photograph of the City Hall in Kiev from 2 or 3 days ago, and there are pillars, columns, in the centre of it. The Svoboda banners or pennants are hanging from both sides – you know the 3 fingers and the fist – a roughly a variation of the art for, you know punch fist salute of all the coloured revolutions. In the middle is a giant representation of Stepan Bandera, the Ukrainian nationalist and accused Nazi collaborationist in World War II. This is what’s taken over in Kiev, this is what’s taken over in much of Ukraine

Robles: What would you say about Secretary of State John Kerry. Two statements I would like you to comment on, one by John Kerry, he says: “Ukraine is going through an extraordinary transition and developments there shouldn’t be viewed as a west against east scenario”.

And also, this is the so-called opposition, or I don’t know if you can call people who have used force to occupy the houses of government as new leaders, but that’s what the western media is calling them.
“The new leaders in Ukraine have promised to fight separatism”, as the European Union and Russia called on them to ensure the country’s integrity’. Can you comment on those two statements?

Rozoff: John Kerry’s comment? I would first of all just counterpoise his comment. There’s a useful duplicity amongst American politicians when they are actually part of the governing administration they speak at least in the public with a degree of restraint that belies their true intention, which came to the fore or was revealed a couple of weeks ago when the Victoria Nuland tape was aired – this is how they talk privately, right, telling the European Union to get aft and dictating terms for the next regime in the Ukraine after the coup that occurred on Saturday.

But while they are speaking at least to the public, to the media, they use restrained language like Mr Kerry, however, within the last 24 hours, John McCain, one of the ranking Senators in the US Senate, and a former presidential candidate not too long ago, was on television stating that it’s a question… (this is a distinction between East and West) there is a conflict between East and West.

The Ukrainian people, he states as though he’s empowered to speak on their behalf, or can divine what their true intentions are, he says the Ukrainian people want to be a part of the West and not the East and then the “East” carries a negative connotation (the reference is clearly to Russia) that there is something inherently bad about the East and about Russia, and of course no sane Ukrainian in Mr McCain’s view would possibly want to affiliate with his kith and kin across the border in Russia, who are seen as inherently inferior or inherently savage and barbarian and so forth.

He also said, and I think this worth … your listeners ought to know about this, that the events and the takeover, the bloody and violent coup in Ukraine last Saturday (he said this twice) should make Russian President Vladimir Putin “a little nervous”.

This is the same McCain who said, right after Muammar Gaddafi was killed in October 2011 that Vladimir Putin ought to pay attention, in so many words that “he is the next”. This is again he is a senior member of the US Senate, a presidential candidate. He is speaking the truth of what the American political establishment means. Kerry is simply sugar-coating his words.

Robles: So they are threatening Vladimir Putin, this a provocation in your opinion?

Rozoff: Again. Well I don’t know what else to say, but McCain twice in the television interview said to Vladimir Putin, given the events, recent events in Ukraine "ought to be a little nervous," that's a quote.

Robles: I see, I see. What about the new “leaders”, these “peaceful protesters” that they are going to fight separatism? Can you comment on that?

Rozoff: Well let’s keep in mind separatism is a two-edged sword and these people have played both bloody ends of it. On the one hand had they not succeeded in bringing down the government, the legally elected and universally, internationally recognized government of Ukraine last Saturday, then they themselves would have played the suffragette’s card in north-west Ukraine, around the Lviv area, calling for independence or breaking away or at least some autonomy status.

Now having taken control of the capital in a putsch, in a coup, they are against separatism, and the US and NATO of course are right behind the extremists, the Molotov cocktails hurling and the sniper rifle wielding extremists who took power on Saturday are coming in (that is the US and NATO and the Europaen Union and saying: “… we will not tolerate separatism or the fragmentation of Ukraine.”
That is an unquestionable reference in the first place to Crimea. That should any efforts be made by these newly established authorities in Crimea to assert the rights, they have the Russian language and so forth, that can then be construed or exploited by the, whatever anarchic mob of gangsters that’s running the affair currently in Kiev that threaten the Crimea and then call on their western patrons to back them up.

Robles: But they actually have under international law and under normal international standards, they have the right to secede from Ukraine if their human rights and their right to self-determination and the right to speak the language that is native to them, if that’s infringed upon, they have the right to secede from Ukraine. SO what they are doing is the exact opposite, they are forcing the breakup of Ukraine themselves..

Rozoff:The may bringing events about that may lead to the fragmentation of Ukraine but I still believe and there is a parallel to theis and a precedent, when the first and the “real” colour revolution succeeded in 2003-2004, that is in Georgia, where Mikhail Saakashvili came to power with an irredentist and uncompromising hostile towards Russia.

His first manoeuvre was within a month or two of taking office was the threatening of an autonomous region within Georgia, just as Crimea is an autonomous region within Ukraine, and I’m talking about Adjara or Adjaria. And he threatened the country there was still slow handful Russian peace keepers there, he actually moved his military right up to the border.

Eventually it lead to the president of Adjara having to flee to Moscow and then they took over the area. This is what I believe the new extremists in Kiev are going to replicate if they can. They are going to have, just like Hitler distinguished himself by remilitarizing the Rhineland and then eventually bombing Spain or moving into the Sudetenland.

Everyone of this ilk needs some military campaign to consolidate power and I fear that threats against Crimea would be the most likely scenario for consolidating some sort of fascistic power in Kiev.

Robles: I see. Where do you see NATO in all of this, Rick, please? That is very important.

Rozoff:It is in a very thick of it. I mean despite the fact that NATO is going out of its way to keep a low profile because to do otherwise is to expose the real essence of what is occurring in Ukraine which is: that a country of vital geostrategic significance, one that is not only close to Russia, but is arguably almost inseparable to it, the way Syrians and Lebanese may have felt in the past is I think how Ukrainians and Russians do now. They see themselves as at one time being part of this one political entity. There are relatives on each side of the boarder and certainly particularly in the Crimea.

NATO has said a couple of things. Secretary General of NATO Anders Fogh Rasmussen two days ago, on February, 23 made a statement in to the effect that Ukraine is a vital partner of NATO and NATO is a friend to the Ukrainian people.

Robles: A vital partner?

Rozoff:Yes. Impressing its stamp of NATO, in other words we’ve branded you, we’ve marked you off as our territory and there is an upcoming meeting of defense ministers in Brussels. I believe it is occurring tomorrow, for two days, 26 and 27 our time here.

And there is going to be a regular scheduled meeting – the NATO- Ukraine Commission- something set up to help integrate Ukraine fully into NATO.

As though the coup had never occurred, right. As though there had been no disruption. Everything else has gone by the way aside. I’m sure public transportation, I’m sure health service, I’m sure everything else has been impacted or impeded by the upheaval in Ukraine but not the meeting, the NATO- Ukraine Commission which is going according to their schedule tomorrow.

We had the cases in the past to mention, that even under Yanukovich, and you think how much worse it is going to be now under whatever juntais implanted in Kiev, that even under Yanukovich Ukraine became the first country to assign two naval vessels to permanent NATO maritime operations, one in the Mediterranean, one in the Indian Ocean, operation Active Endeavour and operation Ocean Shield respectively.

Ukraine became the first not-full member of NATO to supply military forces for NATO’s response force. So the process of integrating Ukraine into NATO has been going on for decades. It has been intensified in recent years rather than the opposite. And that opportunity now presents the US and its allies with the opportunity to further absorb and consolidate control over Ukraine.

This is possibly the worst thing that occurred in our lifetime and I do not exaggerate, for what it signals: the utter triumph of lawlessness internationally, the utter triumph of international gangsterism and I mean the big gangsters in the West who are behind this ultimately and their gutter-snipes and their punks on the streets who are delivering the goods for them.

To the tune by the way, as the new even fluid and amorphous regime and Kiev is asking of the West $35 billion in bailout money.

Robles: That is the first thing they got in there, the first thing they did was saying: “Oh, Russian –it is illegal as a language, so therefore other Russians are also illegal. And we need several billion dollars”. That is a first thing they did.

Rozoff:Yeah, they are asking for their pay-off money.

You were listening to an interview with Rick Rozoff – the owner and manager of the stop NATO website and international mailing list.

Brace Yourself for Hillary and Jeb | MARCH 1, 2014 | Maureen Dowd

By the time the Bushes and Clintons are finished, they are going to make the Tudors and the Plantagenets look like pikers.

Before these two families release their death grip on the American electoral system, we’re going to have to watch Chelsea’s granddaughter try to knock off George P.’s grandson, Prescott Walker Bush II. Barack Obama, who once dreamed of being a transformational president, will turn out to be a mere hiccup in history, the interim guy who provided a tepid respite while Hillary and Jeb geared up to go at it.

Elections for president are supposed to make us feel young and excited, as if we’re getting a fresh start. That’s the way it was with J.F.K. and Obama and, even though he was turning 70 when he got inaugurated, Ronald Reagan.

But, as the Clinton library tardily disgorged 3,546 pages of official papers Friday — dredging up memories of a presidency that was eight years of turbulence held steady by a roaring economy and an incompetent opposition, a reign roiled by Hillarycare, Vince Foster, Whitewater, Webb Hubbell, Travelgate, Monica, impeachment, Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey and Marc Rich — the looming prospect of another Clinton-Bush race makes us feel fatigued.

Our meritocratic society seems increasingly nepotistic and dynastic. There was a Bush or a Clinton in the White House and cabinet for 32 years straight. We’re Bill Murray stuck at 6 a.m. in Harold Ramis’s comic masterpiece, “Groundhog Day.” As Time’s Michael Crowley tweeted on Friday, “Who else is looking forward to potentially TEN more years of obsessing about Hillary Clinton’s past, present and future?”

The Clintons don’t get defeated. They get postponed.

Just as Hillary clears the Democratic field if she is healthy and runs, a major Romney donor told The Washington Post that “if Jeb Bush is in the race, he clears the field.” Jeb acknowledged in Long Island on Monday, referring to his mom’s tart comment that “if we can’t find more than two or three families to run for higher office, that’s silly,” that “it’s an issue for sure.” He added, “It’s something that, if I run, I would have to overcome that. And so will Hillary, by the way. Let’s keep the same standards for everybody.”

We’ve arrived at the brave new world of 21st-century technology where robots are on track to be smarter than humans. Yet, politically, we keep traveling into the past. It won’t be long before we’ll turn on the TV and see Lanny Davis defending President Clinton (the next one) on some mishegoss or other.

When the Clintons lost to Obama, they simply turned Obama’s presidency into their runway. Jim Messina, Obama’s 2012 campaign manager, and a passel of other former Obama aides, are now helping Hillary. And Bill is out being the campaigner-in-chief, keeping the Clinton allure on display in 2014.

The new cache of Clinton papers is benign — the press seems more enamored of speechwriters’ doodles than substance — but just reading through them is draining. There are reams of advice on how to steer health care, which must have filled the briefing binders Hillary famously carried. But did she absorb the lessons, given that health care failed because she refused to be flexible and make the sensible compromises suggested by her husband and allies? She’s always on listening tours, but is she hearing? As one White House health care aide advised in the new document dump, “We need to be seen as listening.”

Just as in the reminiscences compiled by Hillary’s late friend, Diane Blair, a political science professor at the University of Arkansas — some of which were printed in the Washington Free Beacon three weeks ago — the new papers reflect how entangled the Clintons’ public and private lives were in the White House.

In a 1995 memo, Lisa Caputo, the first lady’s press secretary, sees an opportunity for the upcoming re-election campaign by “throwing a big party” for the Clintons’ 20th wedding anniversary.

“We could give a wonderful photo spread to People magazine of photos from the party coupled with old photos of their honeymoon and of special moments for them over the past 20 years,” Caputo wrote, adding that they could turn it into “a nice mail piece later on.”

Both sets of papers are revealing on the never-ending herculean struggle about how to present Hillary to the world, how to turn her shifting hairstyles and personas into one authentic image.

“Be careful to ‘be real,’ ” media adviser Mandy Grunwald wrote to her before the launch of her listening tour at Daniel Patrick Moynihan’s farm in upstate New York. “You did this well in the Rather interview where you acknowledged that of course last year was rough. Once you agree with the audience’s/reporters’ reality like that, it gives you a lot of latitude to then say whatever you want.”

Grunwald advises the first lady to “look for opportunities for humor” and “Don’t be defensive.”

It’s hard to understand why so many calculations are needed to seem “real,” just as it’s hard to understand how Hillary veers from feminist positions to un-feminist ones.

In the Blair papers, Hillary’s private view of the Monica Lewinsky affair hewed closely to the lame rationales offered by Bill and his male friends.

“HRC insists, no matter what people say,” Blair said, after talking to Hillary on the phone, “it was gross inappropriate behavior but it was consensual (was not a power relationship) and was not sex within any real meaning (standup, liedown, oral, etc.) of the term.” The president dallying with a 22-year-old intern was not “a power relationship” and certain kinds of sex don’t count?

Like her allies Sidney Blumenthal and Charlie Rangel, Hillary paints her husband’s mistress as an erotomaniac, just the way Clarence Thomas’s allies painted Anita Hill. A little nutty and a little slutty.

“It was a lapse,” Blair wrote, “but she says to his credit he tried to break it off, tried to pull away, tried to manage someone who was clearly a ‘narcissistic loony toon’; but it was beyond control.”

The cascade of papers evoke Hillary’s stressful brawls — with her husband, the press, Congress and the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy. And they evoke the issue about her that is so troubling and hard to fathom. She is an immensely complex woman with two sides. She is the tireless and talented public servant. And she is the tired warrior who can be insecure and defensive, someone who has cleaved to a bunker mentality when she would have been better served getting out of her defensive crouch.

Talking to her pal Blair, Hillary had a lot of severe words for her “adversaries” in the press and the G.O.P. Blair also said Hillary was “furious” at Bill for “ruining himself and the presidency” by 1994.

Hillary may have had a point when she said in 1993, after criticism of the maladroit firing of the veteran White House travel office staff, that the press “has big egos and no brains.” But it speaks to her titanic battles and battle scars.

Hillary has spent so much time searching for the right identity, listening to others tell her who to be, resisting and following advice on being “real,” that it leaves us with the same question we had when she first came on the stage in 1992.

Who is she?

Seriously, what? Kerry tells Russia 'you don't invade a country on completely phony pretexts' | March 02, 2014

US Secretary of State John Kerry.(AFP Photo / Nicholas Kamm) Download video (49.13 MB)
The US Secretary of State spoke today of the unacceptability of invading a sovereign country on phony pretexts in order to assert one’s own interests in the 21st century. But no, he was not speaking about the United States, as one might have thought.

“You just don’t invade another country on phony pretext in order to assert your interests,” John Kerry said during an interview with NBC’s Meet the Press. “This is an act of aggression that is completely trumped up in terms of its pretext. It’s really 19th century behaviour in the 21st century.”

Kerry has also threatened to isolate Russia economically and politically and warned of potential asset freezes and visa bans, adding to media and political hype that followed Russia authorization of sending a stabilization force in Crimea on official request from the authorities.

“There could be certainly disruption of any of the normal trade routine, there could be business drawback on investment in the country,” he said. “There could even be ultimately asset freezes, visa bans.”

Although Kerry was never challenged by the interviewer to comment in terms of that statement on Washington’s own constant threats to use force and military invasions in Iraq and Afghanistan, those who watched the interview immediately smelled the hypocrisy.

“Since when does the United States government genuinely subscribe and defend the concept of sovereignty and territorial integrity? They certainly are not doing that at the moment in Syria,” Marcus Papadopoulos, commentator for ‘Politics First’ told RT. “They certainly did not do that when they attacked Libya. They certainly didn’t do that when they invaded Iraq. They certainly didn’t do that when they attacked Serbia over Kosovo and then later on recognized Kosovo’s unilateral declaration of independence. The United States government merely pays lip service to sovereignty and territorial integrity, it picks and choses.”

Since the crisis in Ukraine escalated to a point where the lives of the Russian speaking population of Ukraine has become threatened, Kerry’s reaction comes, some believe, as the most ridiculous thus far, taking into account US own history of military actions all over the globe.

Following Russia’s parliament approval of potential deployment, four countries, including the US, Canada, France and the UK have announced they have suspended preparations for the upcoming G8 summit in Sochi on June 4 and 5.

“The United Kingdom will join other G8 countries this week in suspending our co-operation under the G8, which Russia chairs this year, including the meetings this week for the preparation of the G8 summit," UK Foreign Secretary William Hague said.

France has stated it wants “preparations for the Sochi G8 summit to be suspended until our Russian partners have returned to principles compatible with those of the G7 and G8.”

The US also warned Russia that it risks losing its place in the Group of Eight developed countries over the deployment of troops in Crimea.

Canada in the meantime warned of "ongoing negative consequences" for Canada-Russia relations, if Russia pushes forward with military action.

This year Russia holds the presidency in G8 that includes the governments of the UK, Germany, Italy, Canada, Russia, USA, France and Japan.

Facts you need to know about Crimea and why it is in turmoil

Crimeans began protesting after the new self-imposed government in Kiev introduced a law abolishing the use of other languages for official documents in Ukraine. More than half the Crimean population are Russian and use only this language for their communication. The residents have announced they are going to hold a referendum on March 30 to determine the fate of the Ukrainian autonomous region.

John Kerry calls Russia’s actions in Ukraine ‘an incredible act of aggression’ | Carolyn Kaster/AP | Sunday, March 2, 2014

The U.S. Secretary of State appeared on talk shows Sunday morning and said Western nations are prepared 'to go to the hilt' to isolate Russia after the nation invaded Ukraine.Secretary of State John Kerry condemned Russia’s invasion into Ukraine.Secretary of State John Kerry condemned Russia’s invasion into Ukraine.

WASHINGTON — Western powers are prepared “to go to the hilt” to isolate Russia for its military incursion into Ukraine, “an incredible act of aggression” that may lead to visa bans, asset freezes, trade and investment penalties, and a boycott of a Russian-hosted economic summit of global powers in June, Secretary of State John Kerry said Sunday.

Kerry said Russian President Vladimir Putin should respect the democratic process through which the Ukrainian people ousted their pro-Russian president and assembled a new government.

But President Barack Obama had pressed his case in a 90-minute phone call Saturday with Putin, calling Russia’s actions “a clear violation” of Ukraine’s sovereignty, and asking for his forces to pull back, and still the situation only grew more dire Sunday.

Ukraine’s new prime minister warned that “we are on the brink of disaster,” while hundreds of armed men in trucks and armored vehicles surrounded a Ukrainian military base in Crimea.

Despite the strong words Sunday from America’s top diplomat, the Obama administration struggled to find a response that would might deter Putin, who contends that the turmoil in its neighbor posed real threats to the life and health of Russian citizens living in Ukraine and that Moscow has the right to protect them.

Russia’s “incredible act of aggression” amounts to “a stunning willful choice” by Putin to invade another country on a “trumped-up pretext,” Kerry said.

Kerry said he spoke on Saturday with foreign ministers from the Group of Eight countries and a few other nations, and “every single one of them are prepared to go to the hilt in order to isolate Russia” because of the invasion.

“They’re prepared to put sanctions in place. They’re prepared to isolate Russia economically. The ruble is already going down. Russia has major economic challenges. I can’t imagine that an occupation of another country is something that appeals to a people who are trying to reach out to the world, and particularly if it involves violence,” Kerry said.

Kerry also mentioned visa bans, the freezing of Russian assets, trade and investment penalties. He suggested American companies “may well want to start thinking twice about whether they want to do business with a country that behaves like this.”

He said the U.S. was “absolutely prepared” to boycott the G-8 meeting planned for June in Sochi, Russia, site of the just-concluded Winter Olympics, “if we can’t resolve it otherwise.”

Putin is “not going to have a Sochi G-8. He may not even remain in the G-8 if this continues,” Kerry said. Along with the potential loss of foreign business investment and other economic penalties, that would be “a huge price to pay,” Kerry said, calling Russia isolated. “That is not a position of strength.”

The G-8 countries are the U.S., Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Russia.
Kerry also said the administration was ready to provide economic assistance “of a major sort” to Ukraine.

He made clear that a military response to counter Russia’s action was unlikely.

“The last thing anybody wants is a military option,” he said. “We want a peaceful resolution through the normal processes of international relations.”

The U.S. and Europe are not obligated to come to Ukraine’s defense because it does not have full-member status in NATO. Broader international action through the United Nations seems all but impossible because of Russia’s veto power as a permanent member of the Security Council.

Kerry was interviewed on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” NBC’s “Meet the Press” and ABC’s “This Week.”

John Kerry Cohen, Priest of the Serphant | Is AIPAC Doomed?

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) annual conference begins on March 2.
The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) annual conference begins on March 2.
By Philip Giraldi

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) annual conference begins on March 2 and will conclude with an address by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on March 4. The organizers boast that the meeting of "America's Pro-Israel Lobby" will attract "more than 14,000 pro-Israel Americans, more than two-thirds of Congress, [and] more than 2,200 students from 491 campuses".

There will be speeches by Senator John McCain and by Secretary of State John Kerry.

As part of the group's lobbying effort, the attendees will descend en masse on the Capitol Hill offices of Senators and Congressmen, delivering the message that AIPAC is alive and well in spite of some recent very public setbacks.
They will demand that the United States continue to pressure Iran with new sanctions even as the White House is searching for a way to avoid another potentially catastrophic war in the Middle East.

They will argue that Iran is a danger to the entire world and must be reduced to a level where it cannot even contemplate either offensive or retaliatory defensive action against Israel, to include the dismantling of its nuclear program and destruction of its ballistic missiles with a range exceeding 500 km.

AIPAC will claim record levels of fundraising and grassroots support. Indeed, its endowment totals $100m, its annual budget is nearly $70m and it has more than 200 employees, making it the most powerful and best funded foreign policy lobby in the US. But largely invisible amid the self-congratulating and lobbying process will be any sense of what the actual US vital interests might be vis-a-vis Israel.

The powerful Israel lobby, of which AIPAC is a part, has long argued that the foreign policy and security interests of Washington and Tel Aviv are identical, or to use the currently fashionable expressions, there is no space between the two and the US will always "have Israel's back".

A Tiny Client State

Washington's political class has wholeheartedly and uncritically adopted both the Israel-centric jargon and also Tel Aviv's skewed perceptions of Middle Eastern realities, producing the unique spectacle of a great global power doing everything possible to placate a tiny client state. Pandering to Israel will be on full display at the AIPAC conference.

But amid all the celebration AIPAC's leadership knows that it can no longer produce a napkin and have the signatures of 70 senators on it within a day. Nor does its steady flow of "information memos" sent to the legislature and the media command the same respect they once did.

Recent US engagement in Iraq, Libya, and Egypt, all supported by Israel and its supporters for various reasons, are increasingly being regarded as in no way beneficial to the US, quite the contrary.

AIPAC can no longer draft legislation favorable to Israel, send it over to Congress and expect a finished bill to emerge, passed with a unanimous vote. It has suffered major defeats through its open support for bombing Syria and for legislation increasing sanctions on Iran, the former opposed overwhelmingly by an aroused war-weary public and the latter stalled in a suddenly nervous Congress.

AIPAC also opposed the appointment of Chuck Hagel as Defense Secretary due to his alleged "anti-Israel record", though it did not do so openly and only lobbied the issue quietly on Capitol Hill. It was, nevertheless, a defeat.

Even The New York Times is taking note that AIPAC is now very much on the defensive, forcing it to respond to the Times commentary with an op-ed of its own defending its position on Iran, an uncharacteristic move for a group that is accustomed to operate in the shadows.

The rift has come about because reality and illusion have parted company. The reality is that the US cannot afford another war in the Middle East, either financially or in terms of the unintended consequences that wrecked the Iraqi and Afghan interventions.

It has only one compelling vital interest in the region and that is to keep energy resources flowing and a war with Iran would instead deliver a shock to a world economy that is still in recovery. Against that is the illusion that Israel is some kind of strategic asset or global partner for the US.

Apart from the pressure being exerted by groups like AIPAC, Americans are becoming increasingly aware that Washington has no compelling reason to sacrifice its own interests to sustain the freedom for Israel to behave as it wishes.

Nor does it have any justification to protect it from its neighbors, any more than it has a responsibility to do so for any other country in the Middle East. And there is a growing understanding that the lopsided relationship, not only hugely expensive in dollar terms, motivates terrorist groups like al-Qaeda to attack Americans.

This is not to say that the US cannot play a positive role and act in support of the best interests of all its friends in the Middle East, which it would accomplish by becoming genuinely an honest broker with a demonstrated interest in regional stability rather than in regime change.

AIPAC's tunnel vision only permits it to see one "closest ally" and that must be Israel. Every other country is therefore reduced to a second rate player whose interests must coincide with those of Tel Aviv or be disregarded.

Wrong Side of History

The persistence of the AIPAC argument, which also idealizes Israel's rather flawed and corrupt democracy to help make its case for a "special relationship", has done grave damage to US interests throughout the Muslim world. As has sometimes been noted, Washington had no enemies in the post-colonial Middle East before Israel was founded in 1948. Now it has few friends.

Washington's close embrace with Tel Aviv has been fostered by a mainstream media unwilling to be too critical of Israel's actions. But this long established unanimity of viewpoint involving both media and its symbiotic punditry is beginning to erode as alternative sources of information continue to proliferate, which is why the leadership of AIPAC must seriously be concerned.

The shift in opinion is both permanent and growing in magnitude, including numerous younger Jews and Jewish liberals who have been speaking out to tell AIPAC that it does not speak for them, particularly given its record of uncritical support for increasingly hard line Israeli governments.

A better informed American public increasingly averse to foreign military adventures is becoming aware that issues formerly seen in Manichean terms are actually a good deal more complicated and then there is the experience factor. Recent US engagement in Iraq, Libya, and Egypt, all supported by Israel and its supporters for various reasons, are increasingly being regarded as in no way beneficial to the US, quite the contrary.

This explains the lack of fervour for a repeat performance in Syria or against Iran. It also means that AIPAC has found itself on the wrong side of history in terms of the desires of the American people, surely not a good place to be for a Washington lobby.

This is for all Homo Sapiens' (Human Beings) Who know there is more to the world than what we've been programmed to know-understand!

Are Americans Really Pro-Israel?

A new article in the Jewish Supremacist Tablet magazine has claimed that the reason why the Jewish lobby in Washington D.C. is so successful in controlling US policy—a fact which Tablet openly admits to be the case—is because Americans are pro-Israel, “not because of any conspiracy”—but this is just a classic case of Zionist Supremacist misdirection.

According to the article, titled “U.S. Policy Is Pro-Israel Because Americans Are Pro-Israel, Not Because of AIPAC,” written by Yair Rosenberg and published on February 27 2014, the Israel Lobby “can only succeed because voters’ views give politicians the incentive to seek ‘pro-Israel’ bona fides.”
tablet
Referring to the upcoming AIPAC conference in America’s capital, the article says that AIPAC’s “detractors are mostly right—at least about the group’s ability to get results in Washington. In a town where perception is power, AIPAC never misses an opportunity to take credit for fostering pro-Israel sentiment in Congress and across America—from Iran sanctions legislation to U.S. aid to Israel.

“You see this napkin?” a foreign policy director for AIPAC once challenged a reporter. “In 24 hours, we could have the signatures of 70 senators on this napkin.”

Indeed, the centerpiece of AIPAC’s annual convention is its roll call of congressional supporters—a visual demonstration of the lobby’s seemingly unparalleled clout.

“These outsized portraits of AIPAC’s power serve the interests of both its supporters, who aim to reinforce the lobby’s standing in Washington, and its opponents, who seek to cast pro-Israel activists as master manipulators who lead the country astray from its national interest.”

The article goes on to claim that this influence is in fact not a result of the power of the Jewish lobby, but rather a result of some sort of mass support for Israel which just happens to make up average American political opinion.

“That backing is so robust because it has so many sources: a sense of shared democratic values between Americans and Israelis; a post-Sept. 11 affinity forged by the common threat of terrorism; deep Christian Zionism of many shades; Israel’s strategic role as an American proxy from the Cold War to the present; mutually beneficial high-level intelligence and military ties between the two countries; and historically unprecedented levels of American philo-Semitism.

“The upshot of these figures is clear: Politicians tilt toward Israel because their voters do. When AIPAC lobbies Congress on the Jewish state’s behalf, it is knocking on an open door, thanks to the lopsided convictions of the American electorate,” the article claims.

This is, of course, just more Jewish Supremacist misdirection. The article ignores the following realities:

1. The mass media—which shapes this supposed “public opinion” is completely under the control of Jewish Supremacists who continually pump out pro-Jewish and pro-Israeli propaganda;
2. This same Jewish Supremacist controlled media lies, distorts and slanders anyone who dares to speak out about the Zionist conspiracy. The fates of numerous members of Congress—and even ordinary people (such as those who took part in the Occupy Wall Street protests) who dared to speak out against Jewish Supremacist control, indicates precisely how they control “public opinion”—through simple threats and personal intimidation.
3. The Jewish Supremacist control of the banking system and financial institutions in turn controls the political process—which ensures that any politician who is not pro-Israeli simply doesn’t even get into the electoral starting blocks, for any party.
The recent case of Ron Paul, who despite doing  very well in a number of Republican presidential primaries, being blocked from even appearing at the Republican National Convention—just  because he wanted to stop all foreign aid, including that to Israel—demonstrates this point as well.
4. Finally, the fact that the American political process is now so distorted that only politicians with untold millions of dollars of campaign “contributions” can even afford to run for national office, means that only those who have obtained the backing of the Goldman Sachs-type institutions are presented to the American public as a “choice” in the “democratic system.”

This external—and hidden—control of the political process is the real cause of the “pro-Israeli sentiment” which the Tablet article describes. In reality, it is the tail which is wagging the dog, and the Tablet article is just another example of classic Jewish Supremacist misdirection.
