The US military oversees Israel’s Air Defense system, which is
integrated into the Pentagon’s global system. In other words, Israel
cannot launch a war against Iran without Washington’s consent. Hence the
importance of the so-called “Green Light” legislation in the US
Congress sponsored by the Republican party under House Resolution 1553,
which explicitly supports an Israeli attakc on Iran:“The measure, introduced by Texas Republican Louie Gohmert and 46 of his colleagues, endorses Israel’s use of “all means necessary” against Iran “including the use of military force.”
