THE Dallas offices of lawyers representing a high-profile US State Department whistleblower have been repeatedly broken into on the weekend.   http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/world/computers-stolen-from-us-state-department-whistleblower-aurelia-fedenisns-law-firm/story-fni0xs61-1226676256586

Thieves stole three computers, also ransacking the firm’s filing cabinets, but left other valuables untouched, KDFW reports. Silver bars and video equipment were left untouched.

The firm Schulman & Mathias is representing a former State Department investigator Aurelia Fedenisn, whose allegations against the department and its contractors include solicitation of sexual favours from minors, sexual harassment and illicit drug use, according to Foreign Policy.

"It's a crazy, strange and suspicious situation," lawyer Cary Schulman says. "It's clear to me that it was somebody looking for information and not money. My most high-profile case right now is the Aurelia Fedenisn case, and I can't think of any other case where someone would go to these great lengths to get our information."

The firm was the only one broken into in its high rise office building. It was accessed via a hole made in the wall from an adjacent, empty suite.

The State Department, which has repeatedly disputed Fedenisn's allegations, denied any involvement in the incident.

Schulman conceded, after viewing surveillance footage, that the intruders look not “professional enough” to be associated directly with the state department. "It is possible that an Obama or Hillary supporter feels that I am unfairly going after them,” he says. “And the timing of this is right after several weeks of very public media attention so it seems to me most likely that the information sought is related to that case. I don't know for sure and I want the police to do their work."
