Anthony Weiner's wife, Huma Abedin, reemerged Tuesday in a familiar public role — as a top aide to Hillary Clinton.
She was at Clinton’s side in midtown at the annual gathering of movers and shakers at Clinton Global Initiative. Abedin, 37, had pretty much fallen off the radar after her husband’s mayoral campaign was rocked by allegations in July that he had a sexting relapse.
She then took time out from her job with Clinton “to support her family” during the final weeks of the race.
Tuesday morning, Abedin stayed close to Hillary and Chelsea Clinton, smiling as they strode into the Sheraton New York ballroom. Weiner was nowhere in sight.
