  1. National Center for State Courts  --  Formed in 1971 by Chief Justice Warren Burger.  Its mission is to improve judicial administration in the courts of the U.S.
  2. The Federalist Society  --  Formed in 1982, its mission is to reform the current legal order.  
  3. American Inns of Court  --  Formed in 1983 by Chief Justice Warren Burger.  Its mission is to foster excellence in professionalism, ethics, civility and legal skills. 
  4. State Justice Institute  --  Formed in 1984, Its mission is to ensure access to a fair and effective justice system.  It serves to finance the activities of the National Center for State Courts.

New Members Selected for American Inns of Court Board of Trustees       

The American Inns of Court Board of Trustees is pleased to welcome four new members and five returning members. The new trustees took office on July 1, 2011.

At-Large Trustees:

Ms. Jill Guernsey, Tacoma, Washington; Pierce County Prosecutor; Hon. Robert J. Bryan AIC
- is Deputy Prosecuting Attorney with the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, Civil Division in Tacoma, Washington, and current chair of the Washington State Bar Association Environmental and Land Use Section. Ms. Guernsey is current president and a Master of the Bench in The Honorable Robert J. Bryan American Inn of Court in Tacoma.


Mr. Andrew Turner, South Orange, New Jersey; Turner Law Firm LLC; Bankruptcy AIC - is a current At Large Trustee on the American Inns of Court Board of Trustees. Mr. Turner practices at Turner Law Firm LLC in South Orange, New Jersey. He is current executive director, past program chair and Master of the Bench in The Bankruptcy American Inn of Court in Newark, New Jersey.

Mr. Schwartz is a Master of the Bench in The Garland R. Walker American Inn of Court in Houston, where he served as executive director for 9 years and as a member of the executive committee.


8th Circuit Trustee:

Ms. Marsha Devine, St. Paul, MN; Minnesota Attorney General’s Office; Warren E. Burger AIC
- is the current Eighth Circuit Trustee on the American Inns of Court Board of Trustees. Ms. Devine is Assistant Attorney General with the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office in Saint Paul. She is a past president and Master of the Bench in The Warren E. Burger American Inn of Court in St. Paul.


11th Circuit Trustee:

Mr. Edward Waller, Tampa, FL; Fowler White Boggs PA; J. Clifford Cheatwood AIC
- practices with the law firm Fowler White Boggs P.A. in Tampa, Florida. Mr. Waller practices in the areas of business litigation, class actions, health care litigation, lender liability, bankruptcy and creditors' rights generally. He is a past president, past counselor and Master of the Bench in The J. Clifford Cheatwood American Inn of Court in Tampa.

Mr. Peter Koski, Washington, D.C.; USDOJ Public Integrity Section; Edward Bennett Williams AIC
- is a trial attorney in the Department of Justice (DOJ) Honors program, Criminal Division, Public Integrity Section in Washington, DC. Mr. Koski also serves on the Criminal Division's Hiring Committee for the DOJ Honors Program, the Criminal Division's Honors Program Working Group and the Criminal Division's Diversity Management Committee. He is an Associate in The Edward Bennett Williams American Inn of Court in Washington, DC and a past Temple Bar Scholar.


Appointed:

Hon. Kent A. Jordan
- has been appointed to the Board of Trustees for a four-year term beginning July 1, 2011.  Judge Jordan was appointed to serve as a United States Circuit Judge of the Third Circuit in 2006.  Prior to that, Judge Jordan served as a United States District Judge for the District of Delaware from 2002 -2006, served as in-house counsel, was a partner in a private firm, and served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Delaware.  As a law student at Georgetown University Law Center, Judge Jordan was instrumental in moving the concept of the American Inns of Court from idea to reality.  Chief Justice Warren Burger appointed him to serve on the Ad Hoc Committee studying the formation of American Inns of Court. Judge Jordan was the only law student to serve on that committee.  Judge Jordan served as a Barrister in the Benjamin Franklin AIC and serves as a Master of the Bench in the Richard S. Rodney AIC. 


Public:

Mr. Thomas C. Leighton - Vice-President of Editorial Operations for Thomson-Reuters, Eagan, Minnesota was reappointed to the Board to serve additional one-year terms as Public Trustees.

Monkeys eat their own paw off, to get an apple out of a jar, that the monkey's paw is holding so tight to, the apple, there is no way the apple can be removed.  Simply by letting go of the apple and turning the jar upside down would provide the monkey what it wants, the apple. 

Twenty-first Century, the aughts, digital computer "money" for eons and the "Judicial" such as an appointed Clinton Globalist one, decides to eat its own paw off for ?
