Gilad Atzmon, jazz saxophonist,
composer and bandleader, philosopher, Palestinian Solidarity Activist,
ex-Israeli, will be giving a talk entitled “Jazz Is My Jihad” in
Portland on Tuesday, May 14, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm at the East Portland
Community Center, 740 SE 106th Ave. The event is free but donations are
needed.
Atzmon has been outspoken in his defense of and
Solidarity with Palestinians, and an advocate for their right of return,
their right to memory, their right to justice. His impressive new book,
The Wandering Who: A Study of Jewish Identity Politics, has created
quite a stir both for and against him. His website,

amazing music.
The justice of the Palestinian cause motivates his
activism and inspires others around him. This event is being sponsored
