2014 Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference | “Access to Justice” is the theme of the 2014 Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference, scheduled for July 14-17, 2014, at the Hyatt Regency in Monterey, California. The conference is attended by some 600 judges and lawyers working in the federal courts of nine western states and two Pacific island jurisdictions. Authorized by federal statute, 28 USC § 333, the conference is convened to consider the business of the courts and advise means of improving the administration of justice.
The conference offers a rich educational program for members of the federal bench and bar, and serves as the venue for various business meetings that advance the administration of the courts. Government funding allocated to the Ninth Circuit for the conference is used to provide the educational program and to conduct business meetings.
